Playa Santa is one of the most popular beaches in Guanica for locals and a secret hideaway for visitors in the know wanting a great beach without crowds during the week.  Playa Santa has some of the most beautiful water on the main island, tinted by nature in baby blue, sometimes is clear as glass.  Families and locals love it for the beachside chinchorros (food kiosks) offering traditional Puerto Rican fritters including the very popular empanadillas (fried turnovers) filled with beef, chicken, or fresh seafood brought in from fishermen next door.

Don’t Miss the Bioluminescent Bay experience in the nearby charming village of La Parguera after a day of exploring Puerto Rico’s west coast.

Playa Santa gets busy during the summer months when the kids are off school, weekends, and very busy on holidays.  During the “high travel season,” you may enjoy this beach without crowds.  Families can enjoy a variety of watersports.  Playa Santa is great for kayaking due to its calm water, jet ski rentals, banana boats, and boat rides are also available.
